The steps below are for students seeking to enroll in credit programs that lead to the completion of associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates. After completing and submitting your application, you are officially admitted to MECC and will receive a student ID number and username on your confirmation page. Please make a note of this information and use it to log into MyMECC. You will need to set your password using the forgot password link on the MyMECC page to successfully log into your account. You will also be required to set up your MFA. If you need assistance complete the Technology Assistant Form

We encourage all degree and certificate seeking students to apply for financial aid. Financial aid may come in the form of grants, scholarships, loans and work-study positions.
The first step is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA. MECC’s school code to include on the form is 009629. Remember to apply for MECC Foundation Scholarships at www.mecc.edu/scholarships.
Although you can file the online FAFSA anytime, it is best to complete the FAFSA prior to May 1 of the year that you plan to attend MECC; however, there are specific deadlines for applying that we strongly recommend. After completing STEP 2, continue with STEP 3 in the enrollment process.
Students who plan to apply for financial aid or pursue a degree or certificate at MECC requiring math or English courses must take placement tests. These tests are administered in the Testing Center at MECC located in Holton Hall. There is no fee to take the placement tests. You can prepare for these tests by reviewing placement test information.
After taking your placement tests,make an appointment with an advisor. After meeting with your advisor, continue with STEP 4 in the enrollment process.
Students applying for admission should submit their high school or college transcript information to MECC’s Enrollment Services Office, located in Godwin Hall, prior to registering for courses.
Once you have met with an advisor and determined your class schedule, you should continue to Step 4.
Register for classes online through MyMECC. This system will ask you to enter your username and password which you received when you completed the online application to the College.
Pay for classes either online through MyMECC , by using the TMS Payment Plan Option, or in person at the Business Office (Godwin Hall, 1st floor). To learn more about payment options, click here. Important: You will be dropped from classes if you do not pay tuition and fees by the payment deadline noted in the Academic Calendar.
Register for your orientation session at www.mecc.edu/orientation.
After completing the 4th step, please review the New Student Checklist, which has information about activating your email, obtaining a parking permit and student ID, signing up for emergency alerts, and other important things to do. We wish you much success at MECC!
