Students can choose from two options:

  1. Choose one of three offerings (6 credits) for the in-person, on-campus program from June 2 - 13. Monday through Friday each week from 9 AM to 4 PM. See options below.

  2. Select up to 6 credits from MECC’s regular summer schedule. Students seeking this option will receive advising to assist in selecting appropriate courses. Upcoming seniors and juniors will be given first priority. MECC’s summer schedule runs from May 29 - July 29.


Explore the Wonders of Environmental Science and Forestry!

You’ll dive into biology, chemistry, forestry, and public health, while gaining real-world skills like identifying and measuring trees, understanding chemical reactions that occur in everyday life, and testing water quality. Whether you’re in the classroom or out in the field, this is your chance to see science in action and make areal impact on the environment!

This MECC Summer Governor’s School Forensic Science program is your chance to dive into the world of criminal investigations while earning college credit! With Forensic Science I & II (ADJ 171 & ADJ 172), you’ll gain hands-on experience in crime scene analysis, evidence collection, and more. Whether you dream of becoming a forensic scientist or a detective or just want to understand how science helps solve crimes, this class gives you the tools to explore real-world applications. Get ready to uncover the truth, sharpen your investigative skills, and set yourself up for success in the exciting field of forensic science!

Learn. Create. Innovate with ITP 150 — Python Programming! Unleash your creativity as you dive into the world of coding! During this week, you’ll learn to code in Python using Pygame, giving you the skills to design your very own old-school games — or create anything else you can imagine. No prior experience is needed — just bring your curiosity and imagination! That’s not all! Hack. Secure. Protect with ITN 261 — Network Attacks, Computer Crime & Hacking! Step into the world of cybersecurity and discover the exciting techniques used for ethical hacking! In this immersive week, you’ll gain hands-on experience with real- world software and security tools, using Cengage Labs to practice your skills. You’ll learn how to protect digital systems and understand the ins and outs of ethical hackin— perfect for those eager to secure the digital future!


This form is just to gather preliminary information. Additional paperwork may be required and will be provided to the student once the application closes on April 15th.
